Boca Raton Drops Another One, 2-1
Willie Ochoa pitched well, but his team, the Boca Raton Fighting Iguanas, still dropped a 2-1 decision to the Caribbean Commies at Castro Field. Luis Landin picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Willie Ochoa suffered the loss. The losses continue to add up for Boca Raton, having now dropped 8 straight.

The Commies got a big at-bat from first baseman Vincent Navarro. For the game, Navarro went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 17th home run of the season gave Caribbean a 2-0 lead.
