Boca Raton Keeps Trending in Wrong Direction
|
The Caribbean Commies went home winners at Castro Field, thanks in large part to starter Francisco Castillo. Castillo stifled the Boca Raton Fighting Iguanas, enabling Caribbean to grab the 6-0 win. The winner was Castillo. He threw 6.2 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Randy Savage. Boca Raton's current losing streak is now 10 games.
The Commies got a big at-bat from right fielder Mark dejong. For the game, dejong was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Caribbean a 2-0 lead.
"Things will change for us," said Boca Raton manager Tomohiro Harada. "When things change, we'll get clicking."
