The Thunder Bay Lighting downed the Scottsdale Scorpions, 6-1. The hitting star was center fielder Juan Griego. Griego was 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Lighting. The winner in relief was Jose Ramirez. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 4.2 innings.
