Victoria registered a win at Syracuse Fields by beating the Syracuse Orange Sox, 12-4. Pitcher Bobby Whittemore was one reason why the Totems triumphed. With the win, Victoria raised its record to 50-25.

With one out in the top of the eighth, Oscar Romo had a game-changing hit. The Totems second baseman slammed a run-scoring single off Ignacio Quezada, making the score 5-3, Victoria.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Romo told the Victoria Gazette. "It's as simple as that."
