The West Island Jazz trumped the Montreal Mounties, 9-4, at Mount Royal Grounds. West Island shortstop Bob Enriquez was terrific. He was 3-4 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Sam Hickey, the winner, goes to 9-8. He allowed 4 runs on 7 hits, with 7 walks and 4 strikeouts over 8 innings. With the victory, the Jazz upped their record to 52-41.

Early in the game, center fielder Chris Jones had a bases-clearing triple for West Island. It was his 8th triple of the season and put the Jazz on top, 3-0.
