Win Lifts Mooses to 42-38
|
Craig Wood was masterful in helping the Manchester Mooses take down the Montreal Cardinals, 4-1. The winner was Wood. He threw 6.1 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Pablo Cisneros. Manchester is now 42-38, while Montreal is 55-26.
Humberto Perdomo had a big solo home run for the Mooses in the bottom of the third inning. With Manchester leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he sized up a fastball from Pablo Cisneros, who is tied for 10th in the TR in complete games with 1, and punished it. The result was his 3rd home run of the season, which put the Mooses on top, 2-0.
In postgame remarks, Perdomo applauded his team's "toughness."
