Streaking Honu Win Another One, 5-2
|
The Hawaii Honu defeated the San Francisco Earthquakes, 5-2, at Golden Gate Park. Diego Olivarez produced 3 singles and 1 double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Hawaii reliever Kirk Hojnacki picked up the win, upping his record to 6-2. Khalil Haywood was saddled with the loss. The winning continues for Hawaii, with the latest triumph making it 7 straight.
Early in the game, Olivarez had a run-scoring double for Hawaii. It was his 13th double of the season and put the Honu on top, 1-0.
"There's losing your stroke and finding your stroke," said Olivarez. "I guess I've found mine."
