Commies Topple Caterpillars with Late Rally
In a high-scoring contest between Caribbean and Easton, designated hitter Ron Thames was a difference-maker. Thames, who is tied for 4th in the RR in bases on balls with 71, distinguished himself in the 13-9 Caribbean win. He slugged 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4. The misery never ends for the Caterpillars, who've lost 11 in a row.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the ninth for Caribbean. That's when Salvador Tobon hit a grand slam home run off 21-year old shortstop Adan Munoz to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

Said losing manager Mekonnen Asani: "These are the grinding hard days that all good teams go through, and this is when we've got to stick together and believe in one another."
