With 8-2 Win, Rangers Improve to 45-37
Carrollton pitcher Jordan Tovar did his part in helping his team beat the Rosewell Tribbles, 8-2. The left-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. The win for the Rangers lifted their record to 45-37.

Unpei Sakamoto had a big 3-run home run for the Rangers in the bottom of the eighth inning. With Carrollton leading 5-2 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a fastball from Alfonso Garcia and swatted a home run to right-center. It was his 11th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Rangers ahead, 8-2.

"Good pitching stops good hitting," said Sakamoto. "And vice-versa."
