A 7-RBI performance from the 20-year old right fielder Kevin Edwards helped the Easton Caterpillars beat the Sedona Sabercats, 19-15. Chad McKee snagged the win in relief. He goes to 1-0 on the season. Jorge Delgado suffered the loss. With the win, the Easton record is 9-72.

Dustin Carlisle took Sedona hurler Jorge Delgado deep in the bottom of the eighth. His grand slam home run put the Caterpillars on top, 18-15. In all, Carlisle had 2 singles in addition to the home run, while going 3 for 4.
