In a close game at Martin Field, the Boca Raton Fighting Iguanas edged the Savannah Peaches, 4-3. Boca Raton designated hitter Brandon Nafziger stood apart with his performance. He was 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The slumping Peaches have lost 8 straight.
Boca Raton grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when Nafziger hit a 2-run home run off Manny Otero. His 7th home run of the season put the Fighting Iguanas out in front, 4-2.
Savannah manager David Flecha, after yet another defeat, said: "We don't want to panic. At the same time, we need to stop the bleeding."
