Oconto Falls Wins, Bustos drives in 5 runs
|
The Oconto Falls Timbers knocked off the Syracuse Orange Sox, 6-2, at The Cove. Jose Bustos was a big reason Oconto Falls won. The third baseman went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. By defeating Syracuse, the third-place Timbers improved to 50-34.
With Oconto Falls trailing 2-0 in the bottom of the second, Bustos hit a sinker from Ernesto Moreno for a 3-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Timbers ahead, 3-2.
"Solid game, solid win tonight," said a smiling Bustos.
