Lozada Shines in 8-2 Normal Win
Riding the 3-hit performance of the 19-year old shortstop Ricardo Lozada, the Normal Nutcrackers stopped the Barbados Revenge, 8-2. Robert Brown earned the win for Normal. He lasted 5.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 8 hits, while striking out 1. With the win, he raised his record to 2-1. The Nutcrackers saw their record improve to 36-50.

With Normal leading 2-1 in the bottom of the fifth, Lozada hit a 2-run single off Barbados hurler Jonas Suarez. It was the 53rd hit of the season for Lozada and put his team ahead, 4-1.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Lozada told the Normal Daily.
