The Commies earned a hard-fought, 8-4 win in 10 innings at Moose Head Stadium. To do so required withstanding a fine effort from Manchester pitcher Jose Duran. Duran went 8 innings and allowed 2 runs. Caribbean reliever Henry Zepeda picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Joaquin Ramos was saddled with the loss. Caribbean's record now stands at 35-45, placing them 5th in the RCL R John Mayberry Division.

Santos Betancourt provided a timely hit. The Caribbean second baseman delivered a bases-clearing triple in the top of the tenth inning to put the Commies on top, 7-4. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.

"Feels good to be on the winning side," said Betancourt.
