The Caribbean Commies defeated the Montreal Cardinals, 10-9, at Castro Field. Leading the charge for Caribbean was third baseman Steve Dobson. He went 3-5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. At 33-57, the Commies find themselves in 5th place in the RCL R John Mayberry Division.

The game was decided with two out in the bottom of the ninth. With Caribbean trailing 9-8, Dobson hit a fastball from Gabe Ayala for a 2-run single. In the blink of an eye, the Commies had a walk-off win.

"The house was rockin'," said Dobson.
