Mavericks Rally to Nose Past Havana
The El Paso Mavericks racked up a win at The Corral, bumping off the Havana Stogies, 6-5. Billy Dionne, who started for El Paso, pitched effectively for his team. El Paso reliever Dennis Krupski was the winner. His record is now 2-1. The losing pitcher was Victor Ramirez. Morgan Henn collected save number 24.

Joe Cloutier was 1 for 3 with a walk for El Paso. The 28-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 5-5 tie with a run-scoring walk off Ignazio Menichelli. It was his 17th walk of the season.

"This kind of win will certainly make our fans happy," Cloutier told the El Paso Herald.

The third-place Mavericks now sit at 51-43.
