The Brooklyn Cyclones overcame a pretty good performance by Caribbean right fielder John Leydig, beating the Commies, 11-10, at The Lava Flow. Leydig was 3 for 3 with a home run, a triple, a double, and 2 walks, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. Brooklyn reliever Joe Bauer picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Dave Vasquez absorbed the loss. Brooklyn has run its win streak to 5 straight.

Hector Barrios delivered a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the ninth to win it for the Cyclones. For the game, Barrios went 2-3 with 2 singles and 4 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3.
