5 Straight Wins for Scorpions
Scottsdale turned a good performance from starting pitcher Brandon Alston into a 5-1 triumph over the Rockville Rangers at Scottsdale Stadium. The win was credited to 20-year old left-handed pitcher Alex Salcido in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Adam Zacher took the loss. The first-place Scorpions have a one-game lead in their division.

Bryant Levy drew 1 walk for Scottsdale. The 21-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring walk off Adam Zacher. It was his 3rd walk of the season.

"Brandon was magnificent," said Scottsdale manager Sergio Guerrero.
