The Sedona Sabercats picked up a win at The Lair at Sabercat Field, taking down the Normal Nutcrackers, 9-2. Starting pitcher Jorge San Roman was a big reason why. The winner was San Roman. He threw 6.2 innings allowing 2 runs. The loser was Ruben Cruz. The last-place Sabercats have won 4 straight games.

Jonathan Highsmith had a big 2-run double for the Sabercats in the bottom of the second inning. With Sedona trailing 2-1 and the bases loaded, he got a cutter from Ruben Cruz and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 6th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Sabercats ahead, 3-2.

"We did more than enough to get the win," said Highsmith.
