Hits Galore: Nieves Drills 5 Hits
The Savannah Peaches couldn't stop David Nieves, but they stopped the Montreal Cardinals, 6-5. Nieves went 5-for-5 in the game at Martin Field, but his team still came out on the wrong end of the score.

"I feel bad for David -- that's not how any of us wanted things to turn out," said Montreal manager Emmanuel Even. "The Peaches were on their game today."

David Nieves singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jose Atilano in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 8th.

Thus far this year, Nieves has hit .506 with 11 home runs and 81 RBIs.
