The Quebec Armada weathered an outstanding game by Eureka designated hitter Hugo Calvo to topple the Hornets, 8-5. Calvo went 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Quebec pitcher John Tuck got the win. He's now 6-1. Jonathan Ortiz was tagged with the loss. Quebec occupies first place in the Roberto Clemente League International Division at 55-38.

The Hornets had been locked in a 3-3 tie with the Armada going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 26-year old catcher Chris Allison came to the plate. Allison hit a run-scoring double on a 2-1 cutter from Eureka hurler Jonathan Ortiz. It was Allison's 5th double of the year.

"You need to show up when your number's called," said Allison.
