Miners Make It 13 in a Row with 11-4 Win
The Sylva Miners beat the Key West Thunder, 11-4, at Pickaxe Field. The win was due in part to catcher Jaheim Burke, who hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The 74-14 Miners have won 13 games in a row.

Fabroni Tedaldo had a big 2-run home run for the Miners in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Sylva trailing 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a fastball from 18-year old left-handed pitcher Ivan Vaiz and punished it. The result was his 2nd home run of the season, which put the Miners on top, 3-2.

"It's fun coming to the ballpark," said Tedaldo, "when you're on this kind of roll."
