The Oconto Falls Timbers trumped the Normal Nutcrackers, 8-6, at The Cove. Oconto Falls designated hitter Dave Vargas was terrific. He belted 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. Elias Gomez snagged the win in relief. He goes to 6-0 on the season. Tony Bigio suffered the loss. Alex de Jesus closed it out for Oconto Falls, earning his 8th save.

Vargas contributed in the bottom of the first. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was one at-bat among others that helped Oconto Falls get the win.

"It all comes down to competing and our guys love to compete," said Timbers manager .

The win boosted Oconto Falls to 60-36.
