The umbrellas came out during the Thunder Bay-Caribbean contest at Lightning Grove.
Juan Corpus was a major factor in the 7-1 Thunder Bay win over Caribbean. The Lighting first baseman went 2-3 with a double and 2 walks. With the win, Thunder Bay raised its record to 56-43.
In the bottom of the fifth, Thunder Bay catcher Juan Encarnacion had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Encarnacion stroked a 2-run single to left-center. It made the score 4-1, Thunder Bay. For the game, he went 1 for 5. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"It all depends on which version of our team shows up," said Encarnacion. "When we put it all together, I think we're a great team."
