Slumping Storm Lose 6th Straight

The Savannah Peaches topped the Wichita Storm, 6-4, in TML R action at The Storm Center. The standout performance belonged to Savannah pitcher and Bayamo, Cuba, native Jose Vargas. Savannah reliever Willie Reyes snagged the win, upping his record to 2-0. Omar Moreno shouldered the loss. Ruben Arriola picked up his 1st save of the season.
Tyler Walker came through with a big-time hit for Savannah. The third baseman smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 6-4. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"We've hit a rough patch right now," said Wichita skipper Daniel Carrasco.
Wichita, at 3-10, is off to a poor start in 2063.
