|
The Chicago Eclipse topped the Cabo San Lucas Toreros, 5-3, at Field de Los Layendas. Chicago right fielder Sean Martineau was a spark plug for the offense. He went 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The Eclipse now own a record of 57-39.
Eli Neff drew 1 walk for Chicago. The 25-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the third. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring walk off Ricardo Reyes. It was his 39th walk of the season.
"You work hard, day in and day out, hoping to give the fans something to cheer about. Today was a good day," Neff told the Chicago Daily.
