Rangers Rally Late to Nip Cougars
|
The Prince George Cougars got a superb performance from center fielder Nick Newell, but the Carrollton Rangers still won the game, 9-8. Newell belted 2 home runs. The last-place Cougars have dropped 4 straight games.
Yong-chik Byun was the walk-off hero for Carrollton. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Rangers left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Byun said.
