The Savannah Peaches picked up a win at Barack H. Obama Park, downing the Coronado Islanders, 4-1. On the mound for Savannah was right-hander Sal Santiago, who played a pivotal role in the win. William Smathers earned the save for Savannah, his 1st. Today's win puts Savannah at 66-45, while Coronado falls to 61-52.

Bill Hernandez, who leads the TR in stolen bases with 18, had a direct impact on the outcome. Hernandez contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the fourth inning to put Savannah up, 3-0.

"We put together a nice win," Santiago said.
