The Sedona Sabercats downed the Oconto Falls Timbers, 9-1, at The Lair at Sabercat Field. Stellar pitching by Iukekini Makuakane had a lot to do with it. The right-hander, who is tied for 2nd in the TR in wins with 4, handcuffed his opponent all game. Now 25-8, Sedona has won 14 consecutive games.
Chris Craig, who is tied for 4th in the TR in hits with 47, came through for Sedona with a 2-run double in the bottom of the seventh. The designated hitter went 3 for 5 for the game, including 1 home run and 2 doubles. He scored 1 run and collected 4 runs batted in.
"Iukekini just settled in and did what he does," said Sedona manager .
