The Manchester Mooses pounded the Easton Caterpillars, 22-1, at Moose Head Stadium. Manchester left fielder Rodrigue Bertrand had a game-changing performance. He went 4-6 with 4 singles and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Craig Wood, the winner, improved to 5-1. He held the Caterpillars to 1 run on 5 hits over 5 innings, while striking out 8 and walking 4.

Blair Binns was 3 for 6 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4 for Manchester. The 20-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring single off Diego Alarcon. It was his 31st hit of the season.
