Timbers Beat Visiting Pirates, 7-4
|
The Oconto Falls Timbers beat the Paradise Island Pirates, 7-4, at The Cove. Chris Mohrman was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The 21-year old third baseman was a menace to Paradise Island all day. Kyle Storer came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.1 innings. His record now stands at 1-1. Ryan Keough got credit for the save for Oconto Falls. It was his 2nd of the year.
Early in the game, Mohrman had a 3-run home run for Oconto Falls. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Timbers on top, 5-2.
Mohrman was taciturn after the game. "A win's a win," he said.
Oconto Falls, with the win, is 10-25.
