The Sedona Sabercats beat the Coronado Islanders, 7-5, at Barack H. Obama Park. Sedona left fielder Mike O'Neill, who is tied for 2nd in the TR in home runs with 15, collected 3 singles and 1 double with 1 RBI. Ricardo Reyes, the winner, improved to 1-1. He held the Islanders to 3 runs on 5 hits over 7 innings, while striking out 6 and walking 1. Iukekini Makuakane earned the save for Sedona, his 1st of the year.

Early in the game, O'Neill had a run-scoring double for Sedona. It was his 5th double of the season and put the Sabercats on top, 1-0.

"It wasn't our best performance," said O'Neill, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."

With the win over Coronado, the Sabercats improved to 19-20.
