Tribbles Run Win Streak to 25
|
Rosewell put its winning streak on the line.
The Rosewell Tribbles did just enough to sneak past the Cooperstown Legends, 4-3, at Doubleday Field. Rosewell pitcher Marlon Walton, in particular, had a standout performance. In 6 innings, Walton surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 9 and walking 1. He allowed 2 runs.
Elijah Edwards delivered a big hit for Rosewell. The pinch hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Tribbles ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.
"We're rolling right now," said Edwards. "We're playing good baseball."
Rosewell has now won 25 straight.
