Rivera Excels in 8-7 Victoria Win
|
No one was more impactful than Danny Rivera in the 8-7 Victoria win over Montreal. Rivera, who is tied for 6th in the TR with a .366 batting average, went 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. Gabriel Henriquez snagged the win in relief. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 4 hits over 2.2 innings. He's now 4-2 on the season. The win gives Victoria a season record of 79-40.
With Victoria leading 6-4 in the bottom of the fourth, Rivera hit a fastball from Chris Carleton for a 2-run home run. It was his 11th home run of the season and put the Totems ahead, 8-4.
