Bison Squelch Honu Offense in Shutout Win
The Bighorn Bison downed the Hawaii Honu, 5-0, at Aloha Stadium. Stellar pitching by Jeff Lee had a lot to do with it. The right-hander, who finished 2nd in the RCL in strikeouts with 179 in 2061, handcuffed his opponent all game. The winner was Lee. He threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Chris Sweeney. Mike Lake got the save, the 15th for him this season.

Bighorn used the hitting of Chris Crofts to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Bison on top, 3-0. For the game, Crofts had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"We did a lot of really good things and it was a good win," said Bison manager Carlos Esparza.

The Bison now have a record of 41-55 with the win over Hawaii.
