Kasey Thompson pitched a gem to lead Manchester to victory over the Barbados Revenge, 2-0. Manchester reliever Danny Cantu snagged the win, upping his record to 1-2. Alex Sandoval shouldered the loss. Vinny Medina earned save number 2 this season.

Manchester needed the clutch hitting of Juan Martinez to seal the deal. The first baseman swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Mooses on top, 2-0. For the game, Martinez had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"From pitch one to the last pitch, Kasey was aggressive," said Manchester manager Rodney Beam.

The 4th-place Mooses improved to 64-57.
