A 5-RBI performance from Francisco Cotto helped the Yuma Varmits beat the Oconto Falls Timbers, 11-1. The winner was Sadao Masuda, who threw 83 pitches over 5 innings. The right-hander was charged with no runs on 1 hit. Jose Benitez earned the save for Yuma, his 1st of the year.

With Yuma leading 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Cotto hit a run-scoring single off Oconto Falls hurler John Miller. It was the 4th hit of the season for Cotto and put his team ahead, 2-0.

"We were able to put some runs on the board," said Cotto after the game.

With the win over Oconto Falls, the Varmits improved to 20-28.
