Ransom Helps Orange Sox Defeat Rangers, 15-9
Led by 17-year-old Jonathan Ransom, the Syracuse Orange Sox knocked off the Carrollton Rangers, 15-9. Ransom was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 6 runs and scored once for the Orange Sox. Syracuse is now 76-47, while Carrollton is 65-56.

Syracuse pinch hitter Roger Barkley helped the Orange Sox go up, 10-9, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Barkley hit a run-scoring single off Carrollton pitcher Luis Trigueiro.

"If you were looking for a pitchers' duel," said Ransom, "this wasn't it."
