The Coronado Islanders electrified the crowd with a walk-off win.

The Stinging got a terrific game from third baseman Marty Alzamora. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Coronado, 6-5. Alzamora went 1-1 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Coronado reliever Melvin Riojas picked up the win to move to 6-4. Javy Gomez suffered the loss.

Coronado got a clutch hit from Mitsuyoshi Sakuma. The pinch hitter socked a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was game-ender.

Sakuma told reporters after the game: "Took some doing, but we got it done."

With this game in the books, Coronado is 69-55, The Stinging 40-83.
