The Cooperstown Legends pounded the Normal Nutcrackers, 22-1, at The Nutcracker Suite. David Owusu had a solid game. He was 3-5 with a home run, a double, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4 for the Legends. The last-place Nutcrackers have dropped 5 straight games.

Cooperstown shortstop Elijah Bryant contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the first. With two down, he hit a fastball to left-center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 42nd hit of the season and put the Legends ahead, 3-0.

Legends manager Stanley Harvey had nothing but praise for his players after an impressive win, calling the result one of the team's best performances of the season. "Everything just came together on our end," he said. "I didn't need to do too much."
