The Sedona Sabercats downed the Paradise Island Pirates, 8-7, at Predator Park. Corey Hunter led the way, going 2-for-4 for Sedona. Sedona reliever Heriberto Gomez picked up the win. Yamada Anteau took the loss for Paradise Island. Sedona, at 51-73, holds down 5th place in the TML R Fred McGriff Division.

Hunter contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Sedona in the top of the ninth. With his team trailing 7-6, Hunter took a slider from Yamada Anteau and stroked the home run to left-center. His 7th home run of the season allowed the Sabercats to leap in front, 8-7.

"It was a solid team effort," Hunter said. "That's usually what it takes to win."
