The Paradise Island Pirates withstood an impressive performance by Coronado catcher Eugene Holden to defeat the Islanders, 4-3, at Predator Park. Holden went 2-4 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The winner was Kenny Holloway, who threw 127 pitches over 8 innings. The right-hander was charged with 3 runs on 13 hits. Picking up the save was fireballing 6' 10" left-hander Allen Justice.

Marcus Harris drew 3 walks for Paradise Island. The 21-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring walk off Yukiya Masuda. It was his 28th walk of the season.

"There's a lot of fight left in this team," said Harris.

The defeat makes Coronado 23-30.
