Bao, Commies Beat Cougars, 14-6
At Castro Field, the Prince George Cougars and Caribbean Commies were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

Good production from left fielder Zhi-peng Bao helped the Caribbean Commies topple the Prince George Cougars, 14-6. Bao went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 5 for the Commies. Angel Rodriguez went 5.1 innings, allowing 3 runs on 7 hits. The left-hander struck out 6 and walked 2. With the win, he ups his record to 6-20 this season. Getting the save was Mike McEnroe, his 2nd.

John Leydig chipped in a run-scoring walk for Caribbean in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the right fielder had 3 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 2 singles, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Bao said after the game.

The Commies saw their record improve to 49-75.
