Storm Stick Tribbles with 5-2 Loss
|
Wichita turned a good performance from starting pitcher Jesus Nerio into a 5-2 triumph over the Rosewell Tribbles at The Storm Center. In 5.2 innings, Nerio surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 10 and walking 0. He allowed 2 runs. Dustin Booth got the save, the 9th for him this season.
The Storm benefited from a costly error in the bottom of the fifth. With Ruben Ayala at bat and Wichita leading 2-1, the Rosewell miscue allowed Wichita to plate 1 and take the lead, 3-1.
"The other side took advantage in some key situations," said Rosewell manager Leonel Alba.
With the win, the Storm have a record of 16-39.
