A good performance from right fielder Chris Elliott helped the Montreal Mounties defeat the Quebec Armada, 5-3. Elliott hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for the Mounties. Leonardo Cortez got the win, improving to 7-5. He worked 8 innings, giving up 3 runs on 7 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 0. Montreal leads the Roberto Clemente League International Division by 6½ games.

With Montreal trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Elliott hit a changeup from David McPhail for a 2-run home run. It was his 19th home run of the season and put the Mounties ahead, 2-1.

"This is not a one-man show," said Elliott. "A lot of the guys stepped up."
