Jimenez Homers Twice in 11-5 Win
The Thunder Bay Lighting defeated the Rockville Rangers, 11-5, at Lightning Grove. Thunder Bay was led by 20-year old shortstop Sergio Jimenez, who hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 5. Pedro Alvarado snagged the win in relief. He goes to 6-1 on the season. Hector Perez suffered the loss. The win gives Thunder Bay a season record of 76-53.

The game turned with two out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Jimenez hit a 3-run home run off Hector Perez. It propelled the Lighting into the lead, 3-0.
