The Stinging pitcher Andy Guerrero had a large part in his team subduing the Yuma Varmits, 4-1. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the left-hander. The win makes The Stinging 32-29.

Tony Padilla had a direct impact on the outcome. Padilla contributed a 2-run single in the top of the fourth inning to put The Stinging up, 3-1.

"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said The Stinging manager Jose Correa.
