Pitching was the name of the game for the Wichita Storm and the Cooperstown Legends. Wichita won it, 1-0, in 12 innings. Wichita starter Juan Cruz was in command. Luis Acosta, credited with the win, is now 1-1. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1 innings. Despite the win, the Storm have a lousy 19-40 record.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 12th inning, when Wichita catcher Angel de la Paz, facing Miguel Sanchez, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Storm the 1-0 win.

"It's what good teams do, find a way to win," said de la Paz.
