Peaches Take Tight Tango, 3-2

The Savannah Peaches nipped the Paradise Island Pirates, 3-2, at Martin Field. Savannah pitcher Paul Lemieux, in particular, starred. Shiro Teshima picked up the win in relief. Jeff Ferguson took the loss for Paradise Island. Savannah bumps their record to 39-20 with the win.
Savannah got a clutch hit from Jerry Lasso. The shortstop launched a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.
"I thought we played some darn good baseball," said Peaches manager David Flecha.
