The Victoria Totems got a stellar performance from pitcher Omar Ramirez, who handcuffed the Clearlake offense en route to a 5-2 win at The Cove. Victoria reliever Alonzo Calvillo picked up the win, bumping his record to 3-2. Matthew Chrisman was collared with the loss. The Totems bumped their record to 52-35 with this latest triumph.

Mike Albarran said the idea of hitting a home run barely crossed his mind when he came to bat in the top of the seventh. Albarran belted a grand slam home run to stake Victoria to a 4-2 lead. His 2nd home run of the season came off Clearlake pitcher Matthew Chrisman.

"I still think this team has room for improvement," Ramirez told the Victoria News.
